Located in San Rafael, JAMBAR was created by Jennifer Maxwell, a mom, life-long athlete, musician, and a food science and nutrition expert. In 1985, Jennifer and Brian Maxwell created the PowerBar ®. JAMBAR is her labor of love; inspired by the organic food movement, and dedicated to the human connections that make us feel vital and fulfilled. They take pride in crafting the JAMBARs using premium ingredients made in small batches.
She raised the potential of the energy bar by starting with real organic food ingredients that are also Fair Trade Certified. Premium ingredients, expertly combined to taste great and deliver maximum nutrition while also being unexpected and unique. She could have stopped there, but she raised the bar even further by giving back to the community with the sale of EVERY JAMBAR. 50% of the net profits are donated to support and active living.
