Description
Considered one of the premier and most versatile cuts of beef, the sirloin steaks are cut from the sirloin primal, right below the tenderloin. This thin sirloin cut is mouthwatering full of intense marbling and boasts a rich, buttery flavor. When cooked to a rare or medium rare finish, this steak reveals its lean, tender and juicy characteristics.
Located in the sunny hills of Livermore, Birdhouse Free Range is a multi-ethnic family owned and operated cattle ranch with a focus on raising sustainable livestock. The ranch sits on just over 240 acres of undeveloped land where they pasture raise the heritage breed of Criollo cattle year-round. The cows are free to roam and graze and are never fed grain or given synthetic hormones or antibiotics. Ever mindful of keeping this land wild and beautiful, the Birdhouse Ranch family carefully selected a breed of cow that is happy to eat shrubs and tougher grasses leaving native plants to thrive and flourish. These cows are grass fed and grass finished and treated humanely.
